Why does buying electronic gadgets today turn into a scavenger hunt through every junk drawer in your house looking for the "right" USB adapter.

Medicine bottles today tell me everything except how much medicine to take!

The label lists the ingredients, marketing claims, various warnings, and more warnings. It describes the people who shouldn't take it as well as people who should call a doctor before taking it.

But, the labels don't tell you how much you should take or how often.

Apparently, drug companies need to be reminded that "take as directed" only works if they actually tell people what the directions are.

Have you ever tried calling technical support only to have the support agent say, "No problem. But, before we can help, we need to send a verification code to your phone."

But, what if you can't access your phone or it's not working?

It seems every company has decided the only proof you're really you is possession of one little electronic rectangle.

Lose your phone, break it or have it stolen, and suddenly you become a complete stranger to every company you've done business with for the past 20 years.

Security is important. I get that. But, there has to be an alternative way to verify your identity.
